Online Spanish teacher from Malaga

Hi there! I'm Ana. As an online Spanish teacher and DELE examiner, I'm here to boost your confidence in speaking Spanish, whether you live in Spain or travel frequently for holidays or for work. My mission is to help you gain confidence and be independent when you are in Spain, so that you feel fully integrated in your environment. Discover a new way to learn and live the language!

Over the years, my experience as a teacher has allowed me to see that many students do not progress in their learning and drop out because they do not have a clear structure when studying Spanish. Hence, my method is based on giving you a defined path that links knowledge together so that your learning makes sense. Practical from the get go and focused on achieving fluency.

Seven curious facts about me

My first student was a classmate. When I was twelve, a Chinese student, who didn’t know Spanish, came to my school. During break time, I stayed with her trying to teach her the language. I think I discovered my vocation then; I wanted to be an online Spanish teacher to help more students.

I love to practice yoga. Although I am not a professional yogini, yoga means for me physical, mental and spiritual self-care. I spend many hours in front of the computer screen for my work and feel that yoga is my escape valve to disconnect from technology and connect with myself.

I'm a foodie! In my free time I love discovering new restaurants and trying new dishes. I also love cooking at the weekends and trying new recipes. I think that food is a way to get closer to the culture of other countries. I'm sure we'll talk about food in my classes!

My favourite Saturday night plan is to watch a series or movie in its original version. Cinema is another way to get closer to the culture of another country and, in addition, you always learn new words when you see them in their original version.

I believe in magic, I'm not a muggle. My dream is to receive my Hogwarts’ letter but it hasn't arrived yet, so I'll settle for living the dream of visiting the Wagner Studios in London and buying a magic wand!

I like to bring out my creative vein. In the past I took painting classes and last year I signed up for a ceramics’ course for beginners. I like to do activities that enhance my creativity and allow me to get out of the routine.

I like to get involved with my students. I’ve been lucky enough to meet students from different countries since I’ve been a Spanish teacher. In 2018, I went to Budapest to visit a former student and I always meet with my students when they come to Málaga. Every year, they invite me to some international party! I love meeting new people and learning about the culture and customs of other countries.
